ASD is proud to announce that it has been awarded the VIEWS II Contract by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). CDC’s National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) selected ASD to assist with the planning, development, testing and implementation of its Validations and Interactive Edits Web Service (VIEWS II), an online, interactive application which allows electronic death registration (EDR) systems, non-EDR systems and the re-engineered National Vital Statistic System to electronically validate cause-of-death information in real time. This system will also improve the quality of information submitted by states to NCHS, allowing for increased efficiency and more accurate, timely data. The improved data will better enable CDC to monitor health trends and to focus their prevention and education efforts. This award is ASD’s first Prime contract at the CDC and is a cornerstone win for ASD in the public health market. ASD is honored to have the opportunity to play a key role in helping CDC to provide essential health information and public health protection.

Wounded Warriors Project 8K Run, September 7, 2013, Jacksonville, FL
To help warriors successfully transition to civilian life, ASD actively supports organizations with this mission including the Wounded Warriors Project. On September 7th, ASD volunteered at the Wounded Warriors Project 8K Run in Jacksonville, Florida, and sponsored a Service Water-Stop. ASD's water stop was the first one of the race, and after the runners passed the loop halfway through the course, ASD also cheered them on and provided them with the final water stop before the finish line. We proudly helped the Wounded Warrior Project pave the way for over 1,500 community participants, WWP Alumni and volunteers, who collectively have raised more than $112,454 for the WWP so far. (And they're not done yet!)
