ASD’s Challenge:

North Carolina's Department of Revenue, Motor Fuel Taxes Division, was in the final stages of deployment of ZyTax, a state-of-the-art application that will more fully automate the Division's fuels tax filing and filing review processes. However, to leverage the planned new application and promote efficiency, the Division realized that it needed assistance in developing new work processes and on how to cutover to the new processes from current processes. To ensure such assistance, the Division of Motor Fuels Tax Division contracted with ASD to perform a business re-engineering process (BPR) analysis of the Division's related current state work processes, formulate future state processes, and develop a roadmap for transitioning staff and processes.
